Video Blogging

A recent trend as of late has been to make the online world far more social. We are long past the days where the Internet was simply an information distribution mechanism mostly used by companies and other large organization to host fairly static website where they would deliver their content in much the same way they do in the offline world. Today the Internet is all about interaction as is shown in recent sites such as social networks. But most notably, all sorts of people are now using blogging to share their thoughts, opinions, and interests. Blogging has enabled just about everyone to self publish and this has enabled people to organize in ways never before seen.

But just beyond sharing opinions people will blog for all sorts of other reasons such as communicating with family and friends and even making money. They will blog on a specialty topic and host ads related to the topic on the site and some such blogs actually make some pretty significant sums on these ads. A recent trend that has followed on this success is that of video blogging. With video blogging someone can even share their voyages around the world by using a cell phone video camera to record their experience. They can then immediately post this on their blog via their cell phone.
